Staff on yard duty must uphold these rules in a diligent and consistent manner and provide a level of supervision that provides prevention and intervention as is necessary to establish a “safe and orderly” school environment. Any major concerns should be reported to the Principal.

Raffle tickets in staff yard duty bags are to be used to reinforce positive behaviour. Teachers are asked to write the child’s name on the stubb when the child is observed reflecting good citizenship. 5 weekly winners will be drawn from the raffle tickets at Monday assembly with the prize being a canteen voucher.

Where unacceptable behaviour does occur it should be dealt with consistently, systematically and co-operatively by teachers, parents and students using processes designed to change such behaviour to more acceptable forms.
