2020 Student Requisite Pack Information


The following information is provided in relation to parent payments approved by School Council for the 2020 school year.

 

School Council has approved the parent payments for the 2020 school year. Details of amounts payable for each year level, payment and collection information follow.

 

Parents/guardians are responsible for ensuring that their children are provided with essential educational items. The college makes every effort to keep the cost of items that need to be purchased to a minimum. Parents/guardians also have the option of providing essential education items themselves.

 

If you have any concerns in relation to meeting the cost of essential educational items please contact the College on 9395 3533 to organise a meeting to discuss alternative payment arrangements. Any information about your financial circumstances, payment arrangements or status will be kept strictly confidential.

Payment and collection of Student Classroom Requisite Packs will be as follows:

We would appreciate payment by the above mentioned dates. Please contact the college on 9395 3533 on either 22 or 23 January 2020 if you are unable to collect Student Classroom Requisite Packs at your allocated time.

 

Payment via COMPASS

You may elect to make payment for the Student Classroom Requisite Pack, Curriculum Service Charge, Year 9 Electives and Parent Voluntary Contribution via COMPASS. The Student Classroom Requisite Pack will be delivered to the classroom for the first day of school. We can accept payments via COMPASS commencing from Thursday 13 January 2020. Parents/guardians of 2020 Year 9 students will receive separate confirmation of Year 9 elective costs and payment timelines.  Compass Payment instructions may be located here.

 

Uniform

Uniform is available from the PSW retail outlet located at Unit 1, 16 to 17 Hammer Court, Hoppers Crossing.

 

School Commencement and Attendance

All students will begin school on Thursday 30 January 2020 at 8.45 am.

 

Foundation students will attend school on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday during January and February, commencing full time in March.

 

Curriculum Days 2020

The Department of Education and Training allow four pupil-free days to schools for professional development, school planning and administration, curriculum development & planning and student assessment & reporting. School Council has approved the following dates in the 2020 school year:

Please note the Parent Payments listed above are minimum charges and the College will absorb additional student costs for essential educational items throughout 2020.

Student Classroom Requisite Pack – Essential Educational Items

These are items which parents/guardians pay the school to provide or may provide themselves, if appropriate. The Student Classroom Requisite Pack, which our supplier can provide, includes initial student requisites for the year and for the following for specified year levels:

Foundation - Book Bag

Foundation to Year 6 - Matific – online maths resource

Foundation to Year 6 - Reading Eggs – online literacy resource

Year 5 - Lock (to be carried forward to Years 6 to 9)

Years 7 to 9 - Yearly Diary

Years 7 to 9 - Mathspace – online maths resource

 

Curriculum Service Charge Years 7 & 8

The Curriculum Service Charge will contribute to the cost of additional essential educational items that parents are required to provide or pay the college to provide for students in Years 7 and 8 for Food Technology, Materials Technology and Textiles.

 

Year 9 Elective Charges

The Year 9 Elective Charges will contribute to the cost of additional essential educational items that parents are required to provide or pay the college to provide.

 

Students submitted their preferences and have been allocated to two Year 9 Electives per semester in 2020, costs of each elective are detailed above. Separate confirmation will be sent to parents of 2020 Year 9 students.

 

Payment options

Curriculum Service Charges & Year 9 Elective Charges

Payment options for the Curriculum Service Charge and Year 9 Elective Charges are:

  • remittance in full at the beginning of the year, or
  • payment to be split across 2 semesters, payable at the commencement of each semester, via COMPASS, or
  • payment to be split across 4 terms, payable at the beginning of each term, by completing and returning the enclosed authorisation form.

Alternatively you may wish to complete the enclosed authorisation to debit your credit card the amount due each semester or each term.

 

Voluntary Financial Contribution

You are invited to make a voluntary financial contribution and an amount suggested by School Council is $100.00 per student. This contribution will be used to support the college’s ongoing commitment to improve ICT resources and playground equipment. Payment of a voluntary contribution, the amount of your determination, will be welcomed and accepted at any time throughout the course of the year.

 

Please Note

Additional school charges may arise during the year for excursions, camps, sport, swim programs etc. 

 

Art Smocks

Could parents please provide an art smock to protect student’s uniform in art classes. This could be an art smock, old adult shirt or t-shirt. Thank you.
