Foundation Enrolments

2027 Foundation (Prep) Enrolments

To start Foundation (Prep), your child must turn 5 by 30 April of the year they begin school.

Our School Zone

Our school zone is available on Find My School, which hosts the most up-to-date information on Victorian school zones. Students living within our zone are guaranteed a place at Carranballac, based on their permanent residential address.

Enrolments are managed under the Department's Placement Policy, which ensures students have access to their designated neighbourhood school and may enrol elsewhere if places are available.

2027 Foundation Enrolments

The Department of Education releases a statewide Prep enrolment timeline each year, setting out when and how families enrol their child into Foundation at a Victorian government primary school, including Carranballac. All government primary schools follow this same timeline.

You'll be able to apply to enrol your child in Foundation 2027 at Carranballac from the start of Term 2, 2026. Update on Website The Foundation enrolment information pack will be available on this page from that date.
